Our Lord Jesus said this:
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21
There is an old saying “You can’t take it with you when you go.” That is certainly true but according to our Lord Jesus you can SEND IT AHEAD!
That is why we are calling our orphan project in Uganda “THE SEND IT AHEAD PROGRAM”
Our partner Pastor Muhoza Lewi on the Nakivale Refugee camp is caring for 364 orphans and vulnerable children who have fled from Burundi and Congo. He has assembled such care with so little help! Watch Therefore Ministries/Poured Out For The Nations is coming alongside to assist.
Lord willing, (and we believe He is) we are going to focus on three critical areas:
Water: Clean drinking water is critical to these precious children! Plans are underway to drill a new water well!
Food: With the water we can plant crops. Today they eat once per day and we can help with food!
Teachers: Refugee children are often without education—we have teachers who need only $100 per month!
